Well, we ventured back to the doctor today for more shots and poking and such. Kane was actually quite the trooper and really only cried for a minute or so.
Weight: 14 bls 7 oz 50%
Height: 26" 80%
Favorite activities: Chewing on his hands, hanging out with Mom, and playing with Mr Jangles.
Temperament: Has a great smile when he wants to and is in a good mood. Can still go from happy to mad in the blink of an eye.
Sleeping habits: Well, I wish I could gloat and brad about this, but we had made some progress and Kane was sleeping from 8 till 2 or 3am, but the last few weeks he's been getting up at 12:30, 4:30 and then waking up at 6am. I guess it could be worse, but it could be much better.
I could never get the video to upload on blogger, so I guess Youtube will have to work. This is the video I had initially meant to upload.

The master of disaster strikes again!!!
Those of you that have had breastfed babies know how dangerous they can be. Kane was sitting in his swing this morning, playing with Mr. Jangles, and I heard the all too familiar sound. I was getting breakfast and wanting to make sure he was done, so I wasn't in too big of a hurry to investigate: not to mention he destroyed his bouncy seat twice last week. Here's what I found....
The Baby... and yes, that is spit up on his collar, like usual.
The chair...

All I could do was throw him in the bathtub. What a great way to start my morning off, considering that last night was not a great night. At least he was happy after his bath.
Happy, clean, empty baby! Yes, Kane's new favorite thing is chewing on his hand. He loves to stick his fingers in his mouth and many times gags himself in the process.

Road Trip...other random things
Kane took his first road trip last week. We went with Aunt Jeanne to go visit Jason down at Southern. All in all, he did really well: despite the fact that he filled his pants 3 times before we left to go home. I guess I would rather it happen at the hotel as opposed to in the car.
This is Kane's first pool experience. Matt and Grandpa Bob had been working on their neighbor's deck and at the end of the day, we went over to swim. Kane was pretty indifferent for about 20 minutes and then he started to get cranky. It was later in the afternoon, so I feel he was more tired that not that thrilled about the water.
This is the second bar he's been in and what a party pooper he was. At least he wasn't screaming. Everytime we visit Grandma Great, she always sings him "Pony Boy" and puts him to sleep. This time, the question is who put who to sleep.
Big News!
Well, it's been a little over a week since I've posted last and a lot has happened since then. First off, I got a speeding ticket on the way to a job interview. Thank the good Lord I got the job, otherwise Matt would really have been mad at me. I will now be working at Fisher Grade School, home of the Scotties (the bunny is the mascot at the HS). I will be teaching K-6 general music and JH choir. I'm really excited about the job and the building is really new and has air conditioning. Can't beat that with a big stick. The other exciting news is that we now have a house. We made a low ball offer in a gorgeous home, and when we got our first counter offer we thought it was over. Everything worked out and we will now be residing in Colfax. Of course, you might ask why Colfax... well, it's about as close to the middle as you can get between our places of work. Between Colfax and Le Roy, Colfax is much closer to the Fairbury/Towanda area. That way it won't be nearly as large of a hassle when we go visit. We can still go to church in McDowell.

I-L-L
Saturday Kane and I went to visit the Curtis's in Champaign. We had to see these two crazy ladies before they both leave us for Oklahoma and Texas. It had been a long time since I had been on campus and of course it was Kane's first visit. He really seemed to enjoy it. He even went to his first bar Firehaus! We would have gone to Kam's, but it wasn't open.
