Thanks to Dan and Samantha, we now have a hunter Dan action figure. Of course Matt had to check it out.

35 Weeks

Total weight gain: 28lbs.
Heartrate: 150 bmp
Blood pressure: 110/ 70
Tummy measurement: a little under 35 cm
Movement: Lots of hiccups and wiggling. My favorite is when he tries to start out his arms (I think). I love it when my stomach stretches both to the left and right at the same time. When you first feel the motion, it's almost like being on a roller coaster (yes, I have been on one) but that feeling doesn't last for very long. It soon turns into a non pleasant feeling. Not really painful, but not fun either. I also like when he kicks me in the pelvis. He's slowly starting to move down. I can't say he's ever woken me up at night because of his moving, but occasionally when I get up to use the washroom, I might have a difficult time falling back asleep because of hiccups. On occasion he gets a bit too far up under my ribs, which is not comfortable at all. So I try and push him back down or stretch up and hope that he moves.
Room: is ready! Now all we have to do it move...... At least we have baby stuff now.
Happiness scale: Well . . . it really depends on how my day is going. I was extremely tired this morning. I should have gone to bed earlier last night. I can feel that he is starting to move down more. Walking today has not been so much fun. I really try not to waddle, but it's starting to get difficult. Maybe my day would have been better, if it had not been for my students at school. Who knows? At least we only have one more day with students this week. It's been difficult motivating myself at school, because I only have a few weeks left.

Thank you, thank you, thank you...

Aupperle Shower

Aww.. it's a golf outfit

The Schroen gang!
My fearless committee
My mom

We cannot say thank you enough. After having 2 showers over the weekend, we are almost ready to have a baby: now we actually have things for the baby. How exciting! All we need now is the baby. I'm getting so excited. We've just had 2 of our 3 childbirth education classes, which have been very informative. We also finished 1 of 2 breastfeeding classes. All is going well.

Does this look strange to anyone else?

I love looking down at my stomach to see it grotesquely misshaped. Our favorite pass-time activity is playing guess that body part.

Eeeeek!

I can't believe we only 6 weeks left. We just had our first childbirth prep class last night and found it pretty informative. The first baby shower is on Saturday. I can't wait. Maybe I will start to feel a little more prepared when I actually get some baby supplies. Now, if I didn't have this cold, I would feel pretty good... that is until I sit for too long: He tends to get up under my ribs, which is not very comfortable. Oh yeah, and we might have our house sold. We're just waiting on the gentleman's financing. Hooray...... baby, move, uhm.... anything else that could happen? Oh yeah, I just offically received my Master's!

Updates

We got a crazy idea over the weekend and ended up painting the room. It turned out much better than I had imagined. We didn't kill each other either trying to put the stripes on the walls.

Stats Update

Total weight gain: 22 lbs.
Gender: male
Heart Rate: 156 bpm
Baby weight: 4lbs. 2 oz.
Blood pressure of Mommy: 112/62
Tummy measurement: 32 cm
Movement: I love playing guess what body part this is. Every morning for the past week when I wake up I can feel Milford (that is what the cheerleaders think I should name him) up right under my ribs.
Room: Still off-white but now has clean carpets and a lot more Bears stuff.
Happiness scale: 9/10 - I sleep great until I have to work and then I have a tendency to wake up and start thinking about different work related things. I usually feel great while standing, but cannot sit or ride in a car for long periods of time. Bus rides are becoming increasingly wonderful. I can still see my toes and put on my shoes without help. I can still bend down without any problems. I can also still do 10 push-ups with extra weight to boot.
