Good morning!

Kane was going through a phase where he would wake up in the morning and make the cutest sounds. Despite the fact that it's 5:30...at least he's cute. Oh yeah, we forgot to open the lens cap for about the first 10 seconds.

We took Kane in for his 6 month check-up and all looks well. He weighed 15lbs 10oz (25%) and was 26.5" (50%) long with a big melon in the 75%. No wonder I can't sit up yet. It takes a lot of work to balance a head that big.

Uh oh. . .

Look out world, here comes Kane! The past few weeks Kane has been getting ever closer to crawling. Now he's just about got it.

Is there a monkey in the room?

Grandpa Gordon did good when he got this little drum for Kane. It's been his favorite toy. He gets so excited when someone plays it for him. He hasn't quite figured out how to use it himself. He usually just bangs it against things (like his head).

Catching up.

Here is our new banister. It looks so much better.
I'm too sexy for my clothes!
Sitting up in the bathtub. If my head weren't in the 75% maybe I could sit up on my own by now.

I get so excited when I get to watch the Bears with Dad! Or maybe it's because I"m playing with my spoon.

Hello a month later.

Well, it's been over a month since we've been moved in. Yes, there are still a few random boxes that need to be unpacked, but for the most part we are in and functioning normally. Last night, Kane finally slept for an extended period of time. He hadn't done that since early August. It's almost dinner time. Since I've been back to work, there is hardly any time to do anything other than motherly or wifely (don't think that's a word) duties. As soon as I get home, it's time to start dinner and do a load of laundry. When Kane and Matt get home, it's time for Kane to eat. We attempt to eat without interruption, but you know how that goes. Bath time is at 7, followed by naked time and then eat and go to bed by 8pm. After that, it's time to clean bottles, repack the diaper bag (because Lord knows I don't have enough time to do it in the morning) and spend some time with Matt. Depending on the day, I might fall asleep by 9, maybe even 8:30. Then it's time to do it all again. Enough about that. Oh yeah, we all got our first cold of the season thanks to the sitter. Here are some pictures.
This was Kane "Abe" Aupperle at his first state fair with Grandpa Gordon. He really did well the whole time we were there.
"Dad, you can't look away when you're feeding me!"
I love bath time.

This is Grandma Carol's idea of keeping the sun off my head pool side.
