Breaking wind!

Right after we got out of the bathtub, this is what Kane started doing. I only tried to encourage him as Matt ran to get the camera.

91/2 month update.

Weight: 17lbs 8 oz.
Height: who knows? the only reason we know his weight is because he ended up having another double ear infection. We were supposed to go in the Wednesday between Christmas and New Years for his 9 month appt., but the doctor had to cancel because of a death in the family. Instead we get to pay $75 to go in the same day because of an ear ache. Kane is eating a lot, moving a lot (not walking yet) and still only has 2 teeth. With all his new toys from Christmas, he would much rather play with the tv or my laptop or anything we don't want him to play with. He continues to get up once a night to eat: typically around 4am. Ehh, it could be worse.

Okay so you would think that Christmas break would be a time of relaxation and lots of free time. Hardly! I started out my first day of break heading up to Chicago with my dad. We met Holly up there for lunch (which was awesome by the way). Besides the occasional sleeting spell, all was well in the city. We enjoyed a relaxing Christmas eve at home for once with Dad and Norma stopping by for hor d'oeuvres and drinks. We opened gifts as a family Christmas morning. We headed to Grandma and Grandpa Aupperle's to meet up with Milissa, Ryan, and Ashlyn. Kane and Ashlyn played nicely for the most part. He got his own drum and a giant Cat truck, which Ashlyn decided to join him on. He was fine with it as long as she was facing backwards. Then we headed to the Weber's for more holiday festivities. Kane wouldn't have anything to do with anyone other than myself, Matt, or Grandpa Bob. At least this time he didn't try to bite Asher. We concluded the evening with the Tavener Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa's new condo. Of course, we forgot the diaper bag in Fairbury and Kane filled his pants about 40 minutes after we got there.

Break was great. I would have to say that going back to work was a difficult thing. I forgot how much fun it is to be at home with the boys. Heck, Matt, Kane and I didn't leave the house from New Years eve until church on Sunday.
